Questions
buyers ask.
How does buying a name work?
Send an offer from the name’s page. Briggs answers personally, usually within a day. Once you agree a price, payment goes to a licensed escrow service, the name is moved to your registrar account, and only then does escrow release the money. Briggs never holds your funds.
How are prices decided?
Names are priced one by one. Until a name shows a list price it is open to offers: send the number you think is fair, and Briggs replies within a day, to accept it or to suggest a price.
Does it cost anything to make an offer?
No. Offers are free and commit you to nothing. You only pay once you and Briggs have agreed a price, through escrow.
How long does the transfer take?
Usually within 48 hours of the escrow payment arriving, by a registrar push or an AuthInfo code, whichever suits your registrar.
Can I own a .si if I’m not in Slovenia?
Yes. Since 2008 anyone, anywhere can hold a .si: people and companies, with no Slovenian address or entity needed (Register.si General Terms, clause 2.7).
What does a .si cost to keep after I buy it?
The registry fee is a fixed €10 a year; registrars charge roughly $10–13 a year to renew.
Can I make one offer on several names?
Yes. Add names to your shortlist with the + on any name, then press Shortlist at the top of the page (List on phones): the contact form opens with all of them filled in, so Briggs can answer them together.
Which escrow service is used?
A licensed escrow service agreed with you for each deal, so both sides are protected. If you or your company already work with one, say so in your offer.
Do I need an account?
No. An offer is a short form and an email address; the conversation continues by email, directly with Briggs.
